Afflicted originally formed under the name Afflicted Convulsion. The decision to drop the word Convulsion from the band name was taken once vocalist Joakim Bröms had joined. Afflicted Convulsion was formed out of the ruins of a thrash band called Defiance and released one official rehearsal tape and two demos under this name. Then the name was shortened to Afflicted. The band defined their sound as Psychodelic Ultraviolent Heavy Grindcore. However, on the Dawn of Glory album the band switched to heavy/power metal sound akin to Manowar. This is one of their early tracks when they were still quite hectic and violent. Enjoy! -bez-
