Afghan parliament approveed security agreement with US ! After two years, the Afghan lawmakers finally approved the so-called bilateral security agreement with the US. The Status of Forces Agreement for the NATO forces was also inked in the Afghan parliament. Under the Bilateral Security Agreement between Afghanistan and the U-S, some ten to twenty thousand US and NATO troops will stay in Afghanistan beyond 2014 and will enjoy legal immunity as well. This, itself can worsen the situation in Afghanistan ! The Bilateral Security Agreement was formally signed by American and Afghan officials in Kabul at the end of September. Although the Afghan government is optimistic about the so-called security agreement between Kabul and Washington, the new settlement will push Afghanistan into a new stage as the Taliban will now remain adamant in its fight against Afghan and foreign forces.
