African Court Coalition Mission in Kenya, July 26 2013 The African Court Coalition carried a one day advocacy mission in Nairobi, Kenya on the 26 July 2013. The main objectives of the mission were to; •Impress on the Kenyan Government the importance of the declaration under Article 34(6)of the Protocol establishing the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the African Court) to allow access to the African Court to individuals and NGOs with observer status before the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights; •To popularize the work of the African Court and discuss its developments as well as popularising the work of the African Court Coalition Represented by its Executive Secretary, Mr. Dieu-Donné Wedi Djamba and Ms Stella Ndirangu (International Commission of Jurists-ICJ Kenya; Coalition Chairperson), the African Court Coalition met with the Office of the Attorney General and the Kenyan National Human Rights Commission. The African Court Coalition plans more visits to African Union member states as part of its mission to see an effective African Court and to ensure access to justice for all.
