African Stars suspended for two years The football authorities have suspended African Stars for two football seasons following an extraordinary meeting last night. The suspension stems from the eight minute league match involving African Stars and Orlando Pirates. Stars were suspended for bringing the game in disrepute and the club’s decision to take a football dispute to an ordinary court. Measures were also taken against the owner of the club Sidney Martin. The matter is up for appeal and more light will be shed this morning at a media briefing at Soccer House. The matter will also be discussed at the NFA congress for endorsement.
