African identity crisis: the fundamental question every African should ask. One time I ask my fellow African Student Association (ASA) this question and they seemed to be confuse by it. First, I asked, how many countries are there in Africa? With ease they answered 54 countries. Thats correct, I replied. Another question, how many Africans countries are there in Africa? There was a silent in the room for a moment and people start talking among themselves to try to make themselves understand the question. And then finally, one of them asked, whats the difference?. So I answer, One time when I use to work as mechanic, a customer came to our shop for a repair. We got a conversation going, so I asked him where he was from. He said, hes from Egypt. So I was like, ohh my African brother. He said, NO, NO I am not African. When you said 54 countries did you include Egypt?
