Afrikaner rights organisation, Afriforum, plans to lay criminal charges against Gwede Mantashe and Jesse Duarte for insulting the Public Protector at the Brooklyn police station on Thursday afternoon. Afriforum deputy CEO Ernst Roets said his organisation felt that the law was clear in stating that insults made against the Public Protector constituted a crime, carrying a fine or even a prison sentence. Quoting Roets They climbed into her, calling her a populist and saying what she did was wrong. Not only did they criticise her, but made a series of personal attacks. They climbed into her person – saying she was a populist and implying she was fighting democracy Roets said Afriforum had not informed Mantashe and Duarte that they were about to be charged, but said once the case was opened at Brooklyn police station, it would then be transferred to the relevant authority ---------------------------------------- Who sues who when The President is insulted and personally attacked by opposition? It is war against the ANC....and we are just seating and helplessly watching. 2016 Municipal Elections must come at a heavy price as opposition wants ANC completely out. It is not about Cde President JZ anymore BUT the African National Congress! Our movement and its Leadership is under attack from all angles and opposition is gunning at 2016 elections with guns blazing. It is clear that the race will be difficult and more tense that national elections. It is NOW that the ANC needs its REAL members to support and defend its legacy. Again it is time for REAL leaders and stalwarts of the ANC to emerge and SPEAK OUT defend the ANC because we need them. You know there is a time when as an elder you must come in and provide leadership and counsel and also stop the bleeding. This is the time..... The Veterans League....The Womens League.....MKVA League.....urgent intervention maqabane!!!!
