After 10 days Telstra has finally fixed our phone and as a result our adsl connection. They said last week it had been fixed after replacing a section of cable. Not so said I so they said the problem was caused by my equipment so I waited another 3 days for them to come and check. I even had time to go to Melbourne and bring up a phone from home which I knew was working just to prove them wrong. The technician came and surprise surprise he tested the line and said the fault was 3.9 kms away. He went to the site of the fault and found that the cable had been renewed but they forgot to connect me up. Would have been great if we had a bushfire as the mobiles dont work here either !
