After 15 hours of flying, capably changing planes in Vancouver BC and London, not losing a stitch of luggage (whoo! Hoo!), we landed in the incredible And historic Copenhagen. It may be known for its craftsmen and Vikings, but Id say it should be known as the country of blondes. I never saw so many! Family after family of complete tow heads. definitely landed in the land of the Nordic. We dropped luggage off at the hotel, then headed out to explore this neat city. We took a canal cruise. The canals meandered all through the city and under wooden bridges. The people come out in the evenings and sit along the waters edge in groups of families and friends and just enjoy the evenings. The wharf area along the canals were filled with open air restaurants and side walk musicians. It was SO fun! The buildings were brightly colored like in Italy. It is so beautiful. We ended the evening with a salmon dinner and wine, outside in a Danish sidewalk cafe. Now some much needed sleep...
