After 2 nights full on transmit I really needed to be on the receiving end of some good entertainment. Went to the René Barens CC bar in de Pijp and saw a few good bands including my Owen Parsons band Stolen Bicycle. It is so weird seeing your son in a fledgling band and watching them go through all the things you went through with your mates. They are pretty good. Beforehand I popped into Brian Nicholas exciting new venture and venue: Graceland Bar-B-Q. Brian has been setting up stuff like spoken word events at the Winston for years. Very good space, cowboy themed, good food and top location at the start of the Jan van Galenstraat 8. There is a huge venue attached and well the skys the limit yall. Gonna go there later this afternoon, take ma gitar an play some o ma country & western and bluegrass set :) They got a shindig going on. Come on down!
