After 26 yrs.of Military Service (all served in the U.S. Marine Corps), I can truly say that I. and many of my fellow Marines initiated tall tales to imoress the young ladies, OR, perhaps more frequently, to outdo each orher in stretching the truth, whenever we came together , Our Navy counterparts were Just As Bad; like us, they could tell a WHOPPER, with the Best of them. These whoppers, spoken by both Navy and Marine Corps were/still are called sea stories. More often than not, theres AT LEAST a kernel of TRUTH amid the bluster and hype of a sea story ... and, very, very seldom is anything but good fun and humor, the net result of these mighty tales. However, in the case of our now deceased American Sniper hero, his sea stories appear to be SEVERE. FABRICATIONS and OUTRIGHT LIES, mired in bigotry and hatred, with possibilities of spawning an international iincident!! ...Things could get UGLY!!!
