After 3 days in intensive care, Bugs is now home (yay!). Thank you Jane Switzer for being there and making it all work out so nicely! He isnt allowed to eat very much and that is really hard since I know he is hungry. He also gets fed every 4 hours…this means a couple late night/early morning trips to the barn. The 3am one was the hardest. It turns out that he most likely had a reaction to a Panacur Power Pack. Well, it wasnt the Power Pack as much as the die off of the worm load. He had been getting regular worming treatment before I got him and I carried on with the protocol, but this doesnt deal with the encysted larvae. Apparently he hadnt been properly wormed following his first 4 years of hands-off field living. But thank God, he is doing well now!
