After 5 days of eating outside the norm for me, sugar, refined/simple carbs, fatty meats & dairy I feel awful. I feel lazy, unmotivated, bloated and worst of all stress and anxiety. Its amazing how horribly these foods effects us when over consumed. Im also 15 lbs heavier than normal from water retention. Eating processed sugar and simple/refined carbs cause water retention due to the large amounts of insulin our bodies have to release to battle these sugars. High insulin levels cause our bodies to retain more sodium and make it more difficult for our bodies to expel water. Long in short, the fun is over. The next few days I will be living only on smoothies consisting of lots of spinach, kale, berries and fresh lemon to detoxify my body and drop this water bloat.
