After 5 years of stalling under the Labor Government, Telstra, has finally decided to hold a fast discussion with the Liberals to "get things moving" with the NBN. This i find this amazing considering that the directors of Telstra had been trying to stop the plan. To illustrate how detrimental this was to the Australian population (not to mention the share price of Telstra itself) it was NOT the Directors who decided to get things started under the Labor Government, it was the shareholders who actually overruled (by majority) the Directors decisions. So now Telstra is willing to co-operate with the Liberal Government... Interesting. Also, on a related note of stupidity. Gina Rinehart wants to introduce a system that will make jail time optional for people who can afford to pay out (Only for white collar crimes though). eg. If bankers invest your money irresponsibly causing you to loose it all, they now will have the option to simply pay a small fine (relative to larger incomes) and it "Never Happened". Sickening.
