After 6 months of conceptualizing and building on my idea for my documentary, COMEDY IMPROV CAN SAVE THE WORLD, keeping my intentions, focus and discipline around this project and goal, working on getting all my ducks in a row, and getting organized around gathering the energy, resources, information, and support needed for this project, Im so happy to report that our progress is unfolding REALLY well. This film will follow me teaching comedy improvisation as a powerful healing tool to veterans suffering from PTSD, at-risk middle school children in Chicago, and employees at a Wall Street financial Institution. I have an amazing producer, Marj Connelly, who is out of HBOs Comedy Channel and produced for Michael Moore, Louis C.K. and Dennis Leary. We have the rights to use original music recorded by Richie Havens before he passed away (Yes, the legend who opened Woodstock), we surpassed our pre-production Indiegogo campaign goal of $16,500 and finished at $18,049, and we have close to 1100 likes on our documentarys Facebook page which we feel is significant considering that we havent even made the movie yet.
