After I moaned and moaned about their tv show (Pickpockets & Proud) they finally bothered to reply! Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Pickpockets & Proud. We were sorry to read that you felt this programme implied that all Romanian people were criminals and that it appeared to concentrate on Romanian and Bulgarian citizens. It was an observational documentary looking at specific examples of pickpockets, but it was certainly not our intention to imply that all Romanian visitors to the UK are thieves or that no Romanian visitors are willing to work hard or pay taxes.
