After Ive finally accepted I need a stairlift so I can spend more time downstairs Ive been blown away by the price I was quoted.... £8200! I need a chair that goes backward as cant bend my right leg at all & the normal side on chairs are unsuitable hence the price! We Need to think hard & get other quotes but been informed there is only 1 chair suitable & thats made in Holland & that I wont get any assistance or a grant as the UK health & safety dont approve of it even though it has a seatbelt & there is no other option for me! Ordinary ones cost around £4000......bummer dont you think?
