After Mario Malletts death in police custody, Tayo Adeneken and Jeffrey Cook were the primary officers under investigation. Sgt Adeneken (District 4) received a 20-day suspension and remains on the force. Cook (pictured below) was up for a promotion when this occurred. That was put on hold pending the outcome of the investigation. Ultimately, he received a 10-day suspension for not monitoring Malletts condition. He also received his promotion to Sergeant on the same day. He remains on the force. By the way, look at his comments in WineX magazine. Do you think hes lost much sleep over his actions?
