After Reading a friends status, I started thinking about the conversation I have had with a friend not too long ago. She was upset because her crush was getting married. She kept saying that he was perfect for her. I looked at her in the eyes. I couldnt believe what I was hearing. I said, he may be perfect for you, but are you perfect for him? If you love him as you claim, you would be happy for him. He found love. He is happy , and that should be important. If not, then you do not love him, you just want to possess him. Therefore, you are NOT perfect for him. She looked at me as if I had betrayed her. I sighed and continued, Universe knows how many crushes I have let go because I wasnt the right person for them. I had nothing to offer then and I still dont today. Think your crush as an outfit that you saw in the window of a store, you love it and want to try it on. In the fitting room, you saw that the outfit didnt hug your figure in the right place, or is either too short or too long for your body. You will have to put it back on the rack for somebody else because... quite frankly, the outfit wasnt for you. To buy it anyway and try to adjust yourself so you could fit; at the end you become a different person than you originally were. Would you be happy then? All because of one outfit? There will always be another outfit that is perfect for you, maybe the timing wasnt right. Or the right store. She took a long look at me and said, this is why I dont tell you anything because you always manage to make me feel shitty and storm off. I just shrugged and drank my coffee.
