After Sunday’s third home loss in three home games, the Bears came a little unglued. The situation was particularly stressful for receiver Brandon Marshall, who saw the Bears soundly beaten by the Dolphins, the team that traded Marshall to Chicago in 2012. After the game, Marshall told reporters — multiple times — that the team’s 3-4 record is unacceptable. Before Marshall spoke to reporters, things got heated in the locker room, with Marshall yelling loudly during a rant that was heard in the hallway outside. A report from ESPN indicates that Marshall called out quarterback Jay Cutler during the diatribe. And that’s true, primarily because Marshall called out everyone for having a lack of heart. The Bears currently have a troubling lack of wins, with only three in seven games. Meanwhile, the Packers and Lions are running away with the division, leaving the Bears in the dust with the Vikings. Marshall’s true character shines. 95 148 rwhite84 says: Oct 19, 2014 9:57 PM He was right for doing so, that game was pathetic and there was a lack of heart. 167 21 bigjayoakersonfan says: Oct 19, 2014 10:02 PM This dude was attempting to fool the world with his ‘multiple personality disorder’ act. He’s a certifiable head case. Beats women, too. If he’s the ‘grown up’ man he’s trying to convince everyone he is, he’s not verbally undressing teammates and throwing tempter tantrums like he’s a five year old. If he had any type of self-awareness and was truly interested in being a leader, he’d be conducting himself in a humble, positive, up-lifting type of way. Not berating the entire team. 92 186 teal379 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:02 PM So we can assume Marshall hasn’t dropped a single pass, run an incorrect route or not gone 100% every play he’s been on the field for – correct? 72 76 f1restarter says: Oct 19, 2014 10:03 PM It’s always fun to watch a team you hate implode from the inside. 111 48 blackqbwhiterb says: Oct 19, 2014 10:07 PM High school tirade…. C’mon, Marshall 36 61 bullpuppy552 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:07 PM Marshall is just a whiny prima donna. I love it when people like him lose. 67 77 larryboodry says: Oct 19, 2014 10:10 PM Still trying to see where he called out Cutler specifically…ESPN sucks as usual. 99 13 mistyzhang says: Oct 19, 2014 10:10 PM Sniff sniff *tear* that’s my quarterback Sniff sniff *tear* 30 40 jakec4 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:11 PM Marshall looking like the only one who cares is the problem. Nothing wrong with being a professional athlete who wants to win. 153 14 teal379 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:13 PM How is it a guy who’s never even played in the playoffs, much less won ANYTHING is the guy with the political capital in that locker room to call others out. What has he done that gives him the credibility? 46 64 kelvinmchale says: Oct 19, 2014 10:15 PM Inside the NFL will be interesting this week. 50 2 annes22 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:15 PM We Dolphins fans couldn’t care less what he does. He did it Miami and that’s why they got rid of him. If it doesn’t go his way, it’s everyone else’s problem, except his. Too bad Brandon, and I hope you have a nice evening. Maybe he needs his pills again. Go Dolphins!!! 59 58 tokyosandblaster says: Oct 19, 2014 10:17 PM Again, he needs to take care of himself before he can say anything. If Jordy Nelson was doing a weekly cable show and his numbers were down, I’d be saying the same thing. Concentrate on how you can help your team, not your career after football. > 53 15 rwhite84 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:19 PM “Marshall is just a whiny prima donna. I love it when people like him lose.” He’s Bi-Polar. 19 44 wahoo21 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:20 PM Bears will never win anything with Jay Cutler as the QB……the guy just flat out sucks. Marshall was right but he was wrong in the way he did it. 69 20 gergie1957 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:20 PM I agree with Marshall 100%. 76 9 mediasloppy says: Oct 19, 2014 10:21 PM I have no love for the Bears and Marshall killed my fantasy team today. However, I can’t trust a single word that comes out of ESPN, because they never have a “real source” to backup all the drama they report. 49 10 jerrico71 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:25 PM Good! Maybe it’s about time a little yelling and firmness happens in that locker room because the coddling and back patting obviously has lost it’s effect in getting results right now! Brandon Marshall is speaking mentally sharp and with motivated heat here and he’s still producing well on the field when called upon in a play! The flames do need to be raised under peoples a**es because it is needed right now. He is speaking the absolute truth and delivering it straight from the hip to motivate! It is unacceptable just like he said! There is just too much talent to be playing like they have been…period! No more excuses or BS! Packers & Lions are two games ahead and playing stellar and the Lions playing good too! Our next two games are against more than worthy opponents. It really is now or never! Otherwise we hold on to a hope that the Packers and Lions implode which is very unlikely. Kyle Long is upset that the fans were booing but were not making enough noise on 3rd downs. Are you kidding me Long? Fans can sit there quiet or as noisy as they friggin’ want man. They can sit there and not make a squeak and just watch the game because it is up to you to play! You’re the one getting paid to do it and we the fans are the one’s where you’re getting the money for your pay check bro. Reality and ultimately, you need to be capable to win games without fans participation. The booing this time is well justified. Why? Because we the fans have always been behind the team despite our own internal fighting and opinions but this year we were fed all kinds of hype and hope like what has not been around since 1985 and 2006/2007 as well as witnessing the monetary investments made within the team and hearing the supposed fixes and adjustments to all come to fruition into nothing but disgusting inconsistency with only flashes of brilliance to only be smoke screened again and again. Mr. Long, it’s turned into nothing but Cry Wolf! We’re still here but you need to show some consistency and strength in wins that justifies all we’ve been lead to believe. None of the “EXTREME” roller coaster rides that are well out of the normal range of operation of ups and downs of most teams across the league. Otherwise it is well within the rights of those who help pay your pay check to send a little chastity your way! 52 9 squinn21 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:28 PM Calling out everybody after a loss. But this dude got punked by Cortland Finnegan the entire game. 51 18 apollo1989 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:33 PM In before the “players only meeting” 18 1 tigerlilac says: Oct 19, 2014 10:36 PM Why did the Bears let Marshall co-host “Inside the NFL” and why did Showtime warn him? Do you think Belichick or Parcells would have signed off on that act? 23 4 vikescry1 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:36 PM but did he hold his post game conference with a charlie brown christmas tree??? 14 1 vikescry1 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:37 PM the bears are who we thought they were!! you want to crown them??? lol 29 5 vikingprideforever says: Oct 19, 2014 10:50 PM I dont watch many Bear games but Cutler reminds me of Jeff George. Physically 2nd to none but just seems to lack any kind of passion for the game. 33 6 h2beer says: Oct 19, 2014 10:52 PM You suck, you suck, you suck, you’re cool, you suck, you suck… – Brandon Marshall post game 43 3 vargavarga says: Oct 19, 2014 10:54 PM Cutler is terrible. Zero leadership skills. They should have traded him when they had the chance. 32 7 darkneptune73 says: Oct 19, 2014 10:56 PM Vikings > Bears 9 29 orivar says: Oct 19, 2014 11:00 PM ESPN trying to create drama as usual. 31 4 6ball says: Oct 19, 2014 11:04 PM The Bears performance landed somewhere between dreadful and woeful. . 34 1 lostsok says: Oct 19, 2014 11:05 PM Ryan Tannehill looks like a completely different QB since halftime last week. The game has finally slowed down. He was in complete control for 60 minutes of game time. As a result, the Dolphin defense was rested the entire game. If it wasn’t for Grimes getting injured and Jamar Taylor continuing to disappoint, it wouldn’t have been as close as it was… 19 4 orivar says: Oct 19, 2014 11:05 PM InFact says: Oct 19, 2014 9:57 PM Respecting teammates means keeping your composure during winning AND losing. Marshall’s true character shines ————————– Somebody obviously never played football. It’s the job of your teammates, not just the coaches, to hold their fellow teammates account. Sometimes it requires yelling as that’s the only way some players will pay attention. Already been there. Nothing changes when become professional beside the talent level and the money, people and situations stay the same. 28 7 craniator says: Oct 19, 2014 11:15 PM As a longtime Dolphins fan who lives in Chicago , I was able to see the game in its entirety today , and I found it very satisfying. Marshall blowing up afterwards is just icing on the cake. 26 10 mrcogburn says: Oct 19, 2014 11:17 PM Of course, the ball bouncing off Marshall’s hands in the endzone was everyone else’s fault too. This man is a cancer, Chicago. Cut him. 17 24 truckenlauten says: Oct 19, 2014 11:22 PM The Bears still SUCK. 14 8 cinvis says: Oct 19, 2014 11:24 PM Lets face it, there is only 1 great QB in the NFC North and his name rhymes with odgers. But Cutler is not the worst Qb in the league. Top 15. But he’s not winning it alone…. cough run better routes… cough. 29 6 2ndaryinsanity says: Oct 19, 2014 11:31 PM Marshall ‘ s never claimed to have multiple personality disorder. He isn’t bipolar. He has borderline personality disorder….a very real mental illness. So at least get your facts straight before talking s@$# about someone. The bears have too much talent to be playing so poorly. Cutler is a cold fish who doesn’t seem to care if they win or lose. Give me a passionate player like Marshall any day. He SHOULD be pissed. They should ALL be pissed. 44 6 acehawk55 says: Oct 19, 2014 11:35 PM Jay Cutler inspires no confidence in his team. He has this laid back casual attitude and shows no leadership skills. 24 2 ericn42000 says: Oct 19, 2014 11:49 PM Another Terell Owens is he doing sit-ups in his driveway yet!!!! 14 15 mutohasaposse says: Oct 19, 2014 11:50 PM Surprised the number of people bashing Marshall. The guy went behind closed doors, KEPT EVERYTHING IN HOUSE, and tried to make the team hold themselves accountable. My Skins have been garbage for a long time and we haven’t had anyone in years with enough heart to stand up to the whole team. Good for Marshall. Tired of a lot of these guys that go through the motions. 42 5 Leave a Reply You must be logged in to leave a comment. Not a member? Register now!
