After TEN years in a kennel, Tina P. celebrates her one-month anniversary of having a forever home. She looks SO happy :)!!! Heres an update from her page, The Life & Times of Tina P: Tina (Linus Van Pelt) P reporting in! Its official. Ive been in my furever home for one month. Still feels surreal to me -- sometimes I have to remind myself that Im not going anywhere. Recent separation anxiety has my Momma L waking up at night to reassure me that shes still there (I cry and whine sometimes). Shes learned that I flip my bowls over when I want her attention and that the gate keeping me in the den downstairs... well, I can leap over it. grin emoticon Im getting mighty resourceful. Not to worry though, she loves me and she does as much as she can to make me feel secure. Earlier in the wk, I met her papa, mama, brother, sister, niece and my feline cousins. It was a great day! They were all so nice (her niece cried when I left) and my feline cousins were respectful and cool. I have a posse now. Ha Ha. On Thursday nite, I met my new pet sitter. Unfortunately, the first one didnt work out (ya know, life happens) but I think Nan is going to work out great. A professional pet sitter and shell be visiting me twice a day! Which will be awesome. Today, we went shopping. I got a stylish new fleece, new collar and leash, and treats and goodies courtesy of Happy Dog Bakery. Momma was so proud of me. Its a busy place and a few furkids approached me. They were hyper and excited. But I handled it real well. I kept my calm, I let them sniff me quick and I even sniffed back. It was a really fun time. When we got home, we went on a nice long walk then returned home to have anniversary cookies and beef stew which was yummy. Needless to say, Im wiped out. A tired furkid is a happy furkid. Check out the pics below. On a serious note, the sad stories of late seem to be many. It never stops. At times, I catch Momma crying because the utter disregard and lack of compassion is downright disheartening. Im here to say that even though it sometimes seems like there is more bad happening than good, please know that your shares, donations, volunteering, fostering, and adoptions mean something. It does matter. You matter. We matter. If all you can do is help just one furkid, one rescue, one foster, it makes a difference. No matter how long we endure...affection, care, your time, and most of all your love, we are grateful for anything you can give. On behalf of rescued furkids everywhere and those yet to be rescued, Many many thank yous!
