After Winning the Pine Forge Academy Community service award in August 2013 I gave my word to the young men of Handy Hall dormitory that I would come back and spend the weekend with them. So being that it was Handy Hall Weekend I had to be there !!! It was so powerful to talk and spend time with the boys at the dorm ( ohhhh and NO hotel this time ) I stayed in the Dorm for 3 days. Ate with them, played basketball ( I realize I DEF need to PLAY more!!!! ) with them, went to class with them. Sat in church with them. Sang hymns and read from the Bible with them. My main reasons for this is when I was a student there I NEVER had any Alumni to come and talk to me or give me ANY advice. They usually just come and speak to the faculty and staff in their Great suits and nice cars and leave. My goal was to make sure that I spoke to every last person in Handy Hall. From freshman to Seniors. We as alumni of Pine Forge Academy we need to go into the mens and womens dormitory and help them out. Just a small Conversation or a min of listening to them can go so far.
