After a baptism-by-fire start to my SA Champs that saw Lilly rearranging the stable block and Mambo visiting the physio vet AND farrier within an hour yesterday, my horses treated me big time: I got to share a podium with dressage idols as Lilly gave me the ride of the year (which ended with me crying at X at her huge heart & willing attitude) to win the Advanced in a big classy company, and my cherubic chipmunk strutted his cute ass to a second in the Mediums! Ive been the recipient of huge generosity to make my show happen, and Im so grateful to amazing owners the Kleynhans family, CoachOne, the Botha family who are housing us, my amazing trainers, my utterly biased friends, and my humbling wonderful inspiring horses. It is SUCH a treat to live the eat-sleep-ride-repeat dream at such a stunning venue with such great enthusiastic riders from all round the country, under international judges to boot
