After a bunch of years driving big rigs across the country, and - TopicsExpress

After a bunch of years driving big rigs across the country, and now just mostly running from Fontana, CA to Henderson, NV and back (it all adds up to nearly three quarters of a million miles), I have an observation that I wonder if anyone else agrees: When a crew is building a new highway, or repairing an existing one, why cant the roadway people and the bridge people have a meeting and agree on the same level for both. It seems like there is always a bump going on the bridge and coming off of it. This bump can range from barely noticeable to OMG WTH was that, to bone-rattling teeth-jarring load-shifting Ka-Whumps. It just seems to me that, with all the technology available now, they should be able to build a transition from roadway to bridge back to roadway that you wouldnt feel. Thank goodness for air-ride seats. Im just sayin 8-/
