After a busy few weeks Im finally getting the chance to take stock of the journey so far. We had our final call with the Australian team at The Hunger Project this week, and the Trip to Uganda is becoming much more real. My backpack is more or less packed, and its less than 2 weeks! This has been such an incredible year - Ive learned so much, and realised even more how making an impact is so much easier when we work together! Ive had so much support - thank you to everyone who has helped me exceed the $10,000 target! Collectively this program, through Business Chicks, has raised over $230,000! One of the biggest realisations Ive had through this fundraising process is that even when a target seems up there, just chip away at it, and ask for help - its amazing the people that come forward! The fundraising finale event is this Sunday at Cloudland, and it will be so much fun! :-)
