After a day of nothing but spirit of murder in this city I was born and raised in, when is enough going to be enough?? Even though the police, the mayor, the schools, have certain obligations to protect and teach our children on some levels, IT IS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO RAISE OUR KIDS TO VALUE THE LIFE OF ANOTHER AS WELL AS THEIR OWN!!!!!! WE got alotta kids in this city who are raising themselves with no freakin guidance whatsoever!! You cannot possibly consider yourself a good parent when youre out in the clubs 7 nites a week every damn week!! And thats for men as well as women, cuz theres a lotta dudes in the Roc who wanna talk crap about mothers in the clubs every nite when they need to be home too! You cant possibly consider yourself a good parent when you havent even taken the time to ask your child how was your day today? and take the time to actually listen to them!! You cant be so busy chasin your paper and your dreams everyday when you dont even know that your kid has dreams too!! Im so sick of hearin people say Ill die for mine when you havent even seen them in months or years!! This spirit of no love comes from not being loved!! lets keep it real!! You cant just say you love your kids and not show them. ACTION!! If you make babies then ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO RAISE THEM!! There are no guarantees in life I know, anything can happen and no matter how much you try to do a good job kids can go astray. But damn!! At least you can say I did all I can to raise a responsible, caring, compassionate young man or woman. Mothers and fathers who just have kids out there, if you havent been there for them ITS NOT TOO LATE-- please grab hold of your kids while you can!! The time is NOW!! We have to STOP BURYING SO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE!!!!!
