After a few hours of rest and reflection, we want to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone that helped make the Federated Car Care ARCA Fall Classic presented by JayC Food Stores a huge success. The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and the Lucas Oil Great American Stocks provided some great racing action. The ARCA 200 finish goes down as one of the most exciting ARCA finishes ever at Salem (and we’ve see some good ones through the years). We want to thank all of the ARCA teams and officials, you were great to work with, as always. To the Lucas Oil Great American Stock teams – thank you for your support (30 cars in the pits) and your patience during a long day at the track. To our Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery fans, thank you, thank you, thank you for your continued support of racing at Salem and many kind words. To our event sponsors – Federated Car Care, JayC Food Stores and First Harrison Bank – we send our sincere appreciation for helping make this great event possible. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you to all of our track workers and race officials, who put in many long hours yesterday. Also, a special thank you to Tom Venturini and Venturini Motorsports for the post-race concert by Blake Rayne from the movie “The Identical”. Congratulations to Tom Hessert on his ARCA 200 win and to Chuck Barnes for winning the Great American Stock feature. We hope you can join us on Sunday, Sept. 21 for a special Open House at Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery, as we take a look back at the storied history of the famed high banks with Indianapolis Motor Speedway historian Donald Davidson and others. Open House is from 1 to 4 p.m. Free admission.
