After a few years of study I came to this conclusion about bandwagon fans & notice there are 3 types: #1 the type who suddenly like a team because they got allstars who joined, example (08 Boston Celtics when they got Garnett & Ray Allen) before that I didnt know anyone who rooted Celtics & I know only one who still roots for them to this day, a current example of #1 is todays Miami Heat after the got Bron & Chris Bosh, #2 when a team starts winning: these bandwagoners are scared of picking a team that might not win it all so they jump on a teams bandwagon that looks like they got the best chance, example (this years Seahawks) another example( New England Patriots of 08 when they looked like they were gonna have a perfect undefeated season but them fans got the chops when that Patriots team got upset in the Superbowl) #3 is the temporary bandwagoners, these bandwagoners will temporarily root for another team because they want to see a certain team lose but that team isnt their favorite so they jump on whichever teams bandwagon that has the best chance of beating their hated team, & that is my conclusion, Ive been loyal to my favorite local teams since I knew sports even in their darkest days so I aint no bandwagoner lol, Seahawks, Mariners, Trailblazers, & even Sonics even if there is no hoops team in Seattle I still have my Sonics memorabilia, good day to all real fans out there & bandwagoners too:-)
