After a great Christmas with family, my thoughts are beginning to turn to 2015 and what my priorities will be. Time is ever more precious. Certainly I will be keeping up my studies of the unfolding story of the reverse engineering of the brain. The wonder of the evolutionary process whereby consciousness, and hence the ability to learn, emerges from the ordered patterns in DNA will continue to provide an endlessly fascinating tale with puzzles and twists of plot by some of the foremost minds in the world. Our delight is that courtesy of internet we will be witness to species self understanding that no previous generation could ever hope to have.
