After a hard fought, two years of campaigning, Scotland has voted - TopicsExpress

After a hard fought, two years of campaigning, Scotland has voted No to Independence. The referendum prompted the biggest decision in political history, with the results at 45% Yes and 55% No. The Better Together campaign lied, lied and lied and it got the better of the Yes campaign. The most disgraceful thing though, was that Labour lied to pensioners saying they would not receive their pensions in an independent Scotland and this made just 27% of over 65s to Vote Yes. After a long day of hard work, being part of the knockup team at Yes Hamilton, out in the van and working on the polling stations. It was then off to the count in South Lanarkshire, result after result came in as regions had voted No, but there was a point where it was 49.9% Yes and 50.1% No which showed hope for Yes but then big areas like East Dumbartonshire, both the Lothians, and all Ayrshires had all voted No and it showed that No had won. Glasgow and North Lanarkshire had voted Yes. During the process there had been allegations of electoral fraud and videos and pictures began to emerge on social media, only one of them were genuine and it still hasnt had an investigation launched into it. Then on top of that, like him or not he was a fantastic leader, fantastic FM, fantastic man, Alex Salmond decided to stand down as First Minister of Scotland and as leader of the SNP at the party conference in November. As Scotland voted No people were waking up Friday 19th September to reports that Labour leader Ed Miliband has went against the devolution plan for more powers for Scotland, as he promised turns out his lies unfold again and due to this if Scotland does not get the promised powers, Scotland is entitled to hold another referendum as early as next year. We were lied to again and again. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us. It wont happen a third time. So yes, i have decided to follow in my mothers footsteps and join the SNP as a second choice career if football managing doesnt work. Scotland will have its freedom, we deserve better than this. So does everywhere North of Manchester and West of London. I will remain on the page as promised as i keep my promises unlike Labour,Tories and Lib Dems. Alba Gu Brath.
