After a long and very arduous ten year wilderness training season of sorts that included the loss of all, and i mean all, and was chock full of all kinds of drama, both the good and the bad kind, the sinking to the lowest lows and the soaring to the highest heights, and now as i clearly enter this new season full of possibilities and potential, looking forward to a glorious finish, the wide open fields ahead of me, its been the strangest thing, in retrospect, weve been looking back on it all together, and being so thankful for all the many experiences, for His great faithfulness to bring us through our wilderness seasons (Deut 8:15 & Ps 136:16), all the many lessons learned, all the heartache and pain, the consuming fires, the intimacy, all of it, Hes been making very sure that i hear some of the lyrics to that old and well known 70s Rock ballad song Love Hurts from the group called Nazareth of all names, ha, Nazareth.
