After a meeting held on Sunday i.e 26th October, 2014, the members of Vasudha inspected Sukhdev Vatika and met with the officers of Municipal Council Sunder Nagar regarding the various problems and screw-up which has now become customary in this park. The team concluded that if the heritage of this park is preserved then it can be made of great tourist value. In a research conducted by Vasudha, we found that th park also finds its mention in Buddhist epics. Expired dustbins have been dumped in the park and trees have been cut there who are still lying in the open occupying a large portion of the park. It was surprising for our team to witness that lot of plastic was dumped outside our MLAs residence and hotel whose picture has been attached to this post. Vasudha also inspected the traffic lights of ward-5 Sunder Nagar which were found to be in non-workable conditions. The team also discovered some problems with the water pipe-line system of ward-5 of Sunder Nagar which was brought in the Notice of HPI&PH department. The team also visited Nauni Bain (Nauni Water Body) which is a natural source of fresh water and can be used for various useful purposes but unfortunately it is being polluted and wasted. The team decided to give a proposal to the government for proper management of this natural water source soon in future.
