After a night of vomiting blood and massive clots, Angel is stable once again. Breathing on his own and blood pressure stable. They pumped him full of all that he was losing and got things turned around again. He slept maybe an hour so far but is still smiling. It is not a Merry Christmas. And it has not been a wonderful year. Yet... There are wonderful things about the year and always something to be grateful for - even on a PICU Christmas after a tenuous night. Angel made it through another gauntlet last night. Prayerfully enough to enjoy and be strong enough to open a few presents later today. Were so tired, our bodies ache with effort.
