After a productive day at Jackson County helping their very small shelter with their recent puppy mill bust of 135 dogs, feeling mostly thankful (and a little tired.). Thankful that I could help by sharing what I learned from the masters 6 years ago Scotlund Haisley and Rich Crook and their teams), thankful to team up with the Kanawha County team led by Chelsea Staley (you guys were great and fun to come together so quickly to make such progress out of chaos!), thankful for our ED Michelle Earl and the earnestness of her desire to not only help but learn from the experience (hoping she doesnt have to use what she learned but confident in her ability to do this on her own if necessary), and extremely thankful that when I was crazy stressed with our own mill rescue that I had the benefit of so many people and organizations supporting us. Today, even though it felt like puppy mill rescue LITE, I was constantly reminded of our own and how wonderfully generous people were with their time and talents to help us. Nice to pay it back a little today in Jackson County.
