After a sunny start, skies will become partly to mostly cloudy by early afternoon. There will be a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms over southwest Minnesota and into east central South Dakota. Highs today will range from the mid 70s in southwestern Minnesota to around 80 degrees in the Missouri and James River valleys. High temperatures will remain in the upper 70s to lower 80s through Thursday. The next chance for thunderstorms will come on Thursday afternoon and night.
