After a wonderful walk in the rain-soaked woods this morning, here at my cabin, fall has arrived. Even though it was cloudy and breezy this morning and the radar showed that a cold front was bearing down, the temp was about 70... I was comfortable in a long-sleeve t-shirt. The leaves are changing color and starting to fall. It was clear that fall was coming. I just did not expect it to arrive for lunch! The temps have dropped almost 20 degrees since this morning, and are headed down to the mid-30s tonight. I have lit the first fire of the season in the woodstove, so that makes it official..... Its fall!
