After a year and a half (really a lifetime) of studying spiritual wolves, this case falls into an utterly predictable and tragic form that I have written about in detail in my book, Day of the Wolf. A vicious, powerful wolf is hidden in a perfect sheepskin suit of charm and talent. As the truth begins to be known about his deeds the predator is protected while the victims are further victimized. Many are silenced through shock and fear. Those who do speak are not believed and are further victimized. The wolf is surrounded by lesser wolves and foolish sheep who have a vested interest in seeing his success continue. Some may even believe that he is entitled to whatever he wants. They help him get what he wants with the hope that he will repay them. And he does. The longer he is allowed to go on with his brutal attacks the more empowered and entitled he feels. His arrogance and narcissism grow with every passing year that he is allowed to rape and pillage with impunity. With a regal attitude, he is totally confident in his disguise because he believes lies about himself. Many others help him believe those lies through sycophantic flattery. And there are so many who have experienced nothing but his powerful charm initiative. Of all people, they are the least equipped to see the truth about him. Even when the facts are overwhelming, the wolf is defended with misplaced pity and compassion. This pattern has been observed for untold centuries on every level of society. There is nothing new about the tactics of spiritual wolves. And all such wolves are spiritual predators. The women that this wolf victimized were raped in their spirits even more than in their bodies. Bodies heal. Without the difficult work of forgiveness, spirits do not. Yes, Mr. Cosby truly is an educator. He has taught millions of people that the ultimate father figure is nothing but an evil, raping fraud. And fools will continue to give him standing ovations.
