After a year of my life developing this beautiful new innovative piece of theatre, the time to bring it to life before an audience has finally arrived! Tonight I make my directorial debut at the historic Cherry Lane Theatre, the same building the housed John Malkovich and Gary Sinise in Sam Shephards True West over 20 years ago. Ive learned so much in this process, and am so grateful to be working with the people I am. I love the artists at The Shelter. Big shout outs to our writers, who had the tough task of collaboratively writing a single narrative and stepped up to the plate beautifully, Bob Kolsby, Rachel Carey, and Beth Jastroch. To our incredible cast, Aaron Novak, C.j. Lindsey, Jordan Kamp, Kelley Gates, Meghan Jones, and Morgan McGuire who have been rockstars through the tech process and are really putting their hearts and souls up on that stage, such amazing and beautiful work. And to the crew who have supported me, challenged me, kept me sane, and done every little thing needed to make this show happen and be as beautiful as it could be.
