After a year or more of planning, I am excited to announce that the residents and visitors of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas (USA) will be enjoying live... The Art of Robert Hawkins with a big opening event on Sunday, September 28th, 2014 starting at 3pm hosted by the artist. The mansion at 316 Park Avenue will be converted into a natural light gallery, Natural Works, to show Hawkins original work for a couple months. We are very fortunate to have attracted this American painter that now lives in London, UK. A peer of Jean Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring and a protégé of Warhol, Robert Hawkins is considered by the most important critics of our generation like Glenn O Brien, Gary Indiana and Rene Ricard to be one of the most talented living artists of that lineage. He opted for Hot Springs for a rare US show for its geographically central location, its beauty, its new art scene and especially for Hot Springs historical and natural relevance to his work. If there was ever a good time to visit Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas now would be it (and remember a side trip to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art ). The weather is perfect in early fall and a great time to enjoy, The Natural State. The event will be in free and in association with Urban Works NYC and a Park Avenue Arts Festival being planned on the same weekend here in Hot Springs.
