After agreeing with Lexi that we will try to avoid consumerism in every activity we have to do and push creativity rather, we decided to cut cost, as much as we can, and not join the bandwagon of display on her first communion. We will design her own white dress (make sure that it will not look too Sunday-ish) and one that we can mix and match with other materials later on and wear it for other occasions. Modest and simple, she emphasized. I answered, put functionality and flexibility on top of that. Now we are talking clothes designing.
