After aimless trips out of town, and HOURS of surfing the web,I found me a desk on craigslist!!! Of course it was a STEAL after our negotiating..we make the trip to Franklin to the address, and arrive at I think Tim McGraws home--- ring the door bell, and begin praying this man doesnt think we are criminals! Troy Darrell Walton just came from work (blue beanie bogan, boots & blue carhart hoodie) He looked like MARV from HOME ALONE!! The man cautiously opens his door & there sits the desk in 4 pieces! It was beautiful!! Nicer than the pics from the post :-) all oak, real wood! not pressboard like everything else i looked at. suddenly I realized how BIG it was!! And that we had to carry it down his 15 front porch steps to load onto trailer!!! :-0 btw, the brick steps were narrow and still had ICE and snow on them!!! Oh my!! The man probably thought we were using our alias when I hollered for my bro in law BUBBA & sis MOUSE to come up!! We have the man the cash & somehow managed to load it all. He GIVES us an old sheet and blanket to wrap the beautiful desktop in- insisting it was old & worn out. Mind you, it was a Tommy Hillfiger NICE thick comforter!! We get it home no problems-- and I go this belongs in a castle!! WHERE am I going to put this?? (It is intended to go in my bedroom) HA! I thought about moving our kids to share 1bedroom/ but Troy thought that was a bad idea!? Lol so now I think I need to buy a TWIN bed ,to make room for my new steal-of-a-deal home office set!!!!😊
