After an eventful nine months in the Barclays Premier League, users to premierleague have voted for their Barclays Premier League Team of the Season 2013/14. More than 12,000 votes were cast for a manager and an XI that has impressed over the course of the season. A 4-4-2 formation was decided with users voting for each position from a shortlist of five players determined by their ratings in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index (see below). The EA SPORTS PPI is the only official player rating index of the Barclays Premier League and measures a players all-round contribution to the success of his team using six key indices: winning Performance; players performance per match; appearances; goals scored; assists; and clean sheets. Players from Arsenal have proven the most popular with five selected (Wojciech Szczesny, Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud), followed by three from the Barclays Premier League runners-up Liverpool (Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Luis Suarez) plus Brendan Rodgers, the manager. Everton supply both full-backs in Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines, while Chelsea captain John Terry fills the remaining defensive slot. For more on the results see below.
