After another gorgeous day here in Denver dont end it in the kitchen let Mead St. Station do the cooking while you play MVB and try to win tickets to The Devil Makes Three courtesy of Live Nation. So, Im going through the my usual sites looking for something to interesting and I came upon something I thought was sort of compelling & worthy of discussion and why I picked the password vanilla vs. rocky road. Vanilla can be bland and uninteresting while rocky road is an adventure. This was Billboards US top 5 songs for this week back in 1975: No.5, Stevie Wonder, Boogie On Reggae Woman, No.4, Ohio Players, Fire, No.3, Barry Manilow, Mandy, No.2, Neil Sedaka, Laughter In The Rain, No.1, The Carpenters, Please Mr Postman. The top three (white) are mind-numbingly boring, while 4 & 5 (black) have depth, they bring the groove factor and they just plain get it done. There were are some interesting factors as why or why not The Carpenters & Neil Sedaka are higher then Stevie Wonder or The Ojays, which I cant even fathom. Who would you rather hang out with; the pervy looking white guy or the wish I was that cool brothers????
