After attending the meeting today I learned a lot about this building and Bemis in general that I never knew despite my Grandparents telling me everything that they have. My Grandfather was Albert Jones Butler and he worked in the mill and also ran a small dairy farm and store on Herron Grove Rd where the well is. But something became evident today. Walter Helms is not deconstructing a building. He is deconstructing people and their memories. Without the Mill, there is no Bemis. Dont take this away from people and destroy the memories that they have. Lets do something to preserve it. This has to be a win win. Not a win lose.
