After being away at Garrett Seminary for three weeks Im finally settled back in at home. I got in late on Friday night, golfed with Harry in the Amvets scramble, then off to the Blueberry Festival for a great dinner, preached on Sunday (and boy that was fun!), and returned to the office today. Whew!! I think that its taken me until tonight to finally feel like Im settled back in. Three classes in the books and still working on #4. Its so hard to be away from home and my church home(s) and I absolutely rejoice in being back. Next year some changes are being made at Garrett and I think it will be a good thing, primarily reducing the amount of time that we have to be away. So thankful for all that Ive learned, the renewed friendships with other clergy and the new friends and experiences that we shared together. Now onward we go!
