After being hounded by a variety of people for a number of years, most especially by my mother, it is with a sense of pride that I can say I have finished the first draft of a novel. After 115,000 words and many long months of labor in secret, it is a relief to say those words. Of course, there is still much to do, including the incredibly time-consuming task of editing, re-editing, and re-re-editing it, along with getting it out to beta readers to see if its actually worth reading, but the first, longest, and hardest step is out of the way. Just remember, a long time ago you people said that you would buy my novel when and if I wrote one: Im going to hold everybody to that! Haha.
