After being nominated for the ice bucket challenge by his brother, Events Fundraiser James decided it was a great opportunity to raise awareness about who the hospice cares for as its not just for those with cancer. The ice bucket challenge has largely been in support of ALS an American charity raising money for research and patient services centred around Motor Neurone Disease. Katharine House Hospice provides end of life care to people across mid-Staffordshire with advanced life limiting conditions which include Motor Neurone Disease, multiple sclerosis, end stage heart disease, end stage organ failure and cancer. Its important that people know that hospices arent just for cancer and if you could pass this message on then it will help those out there with advanced life limiting conditions know that they can ask to be referred to their local hospice.
