After coming over to the dark side and now being a new New York Yankee fan, I need to start taking a crash course on their present roster and farm system!..I feel most of the players needed to bring another World Series championship back to the Bronx are in place with their biggest need being one more front line starter..I feel that need can be addressed @ the trade deadline in the person of Cliff Lee, who I feel will be expendable to the Phillies because they will be out of contention and will be sellers!..Possible that we can also pry SS Jimmy Rollins from them to spell an aging Derek Jeter until he can take over full time next season after Derek is officially retired......Next we need to take a shot @ acquiring CF Andrew McCutchen or LF Starling Marte from the Pirates should McCutchens price be too steep...Marte has the tools to be a great future center fielder!...The Pirates will be ripe for the picking by the trade deadline date. With the wealth of talent @ AAA Columbus a deal should be possible!...And with McCutchen & Marte being young and already signed to long term deals, the risks in damaging our farm system is minimal...We can well afford to give up our best prospects if you look @ the return....the choice of a young, talented, and signed player, with one being a former MVP @ 27 while the other is a cant miss 22 year old!....and historically, we have had good luck in being able to put the screws so to speak to those in the Pirates front office!...The Pirates have always been easy !
