After days and days of lovely but not particularly balanced meals (lots of richness, lots of meat, lots of pie) Im craving vegetables in a big way. So Im making a giant pot of vegetable and bean soup with the leftover green beans and some carrots and kale, plus kidney beans for a bit of protein. Moderation doesnt mean eat nothing but junk all the time!. It means having the flexibility to eat in celebration, and then WANT to get back to a regular, balanced routine. When you stop forcing yourself NOT to eat the rich foods and the pie, all of a sudden you dont have to force yourself TO eat vegetables and other healthy stuff. You begin to enjoy the balance.
