After desiring a new adventure for a long time, I made the decision on Friday to let go of inhibitions, and take a risk. Ive taken off my comfy clothes and am standing on the diving board, uncertain, but excited. Im ready for an adventure, Im ready to jump all in, and whether the decision is right or wrong, I am going with it because its what my heart says. Sometimes, we must be spontaneous. My heart has known for a long time what my brain was unready to admit. Im too comfortable in Auckland. I have a great life here, but I want the next chapter of my life to be less certain. On Friday, I handed in my notice at work, booked my flight, sold my car, and have told my beautiful Nan (sadface), my family, and my flatties. In three weeks, Im moving to Melbourne. I know less people in Melbourne than I have fingers on one hand, I dont have the security of family there, or a whole group of friends to fall back on. But what I know is that Im ready for a change, and ready for a challenge. Whether its for 6 weeks, 7 months, or 8 years, Im going to do it! To my friends and family, lets hang before I leave. You are what made the decision hardest. But it feels right, it feels fun, and it feels like Im taking the pen and writing chapter 32 of my life, myself. With love and excitement, and a healthy dose of sadness, Im jumping all in. Heres to the next adventure. x
