After flying in to Buffalo, NY and driving (in my mean, green rental machine) to check into my hotel, my sister-friend Dinah came and picked me up for an afternoon and meal with her family. It ended up being a fabulously fun day! I felt right at home with a great big family that generously welcomed me in, and they kept bringing out totally delicious food, were cheering their Buffalo Bills football team on, and then when they heard I was a Packer fan, they cheered for my teams game too. There was great humor and lots of laughs, and everyone was sober! Just my kind of family all around. Dinner was marinated steaks cooked on the grill and all the fixings, with a homemade pumpkin roll for dessert. I heard stories of how everyone weathered the big snowstorm they just had, and lots of family stories, and it turns out we have lots of mutual friends back in MN, and we both had our teams win. The day just kept getting better and better. I am SO grateful to Dinah and her family for already making this one of my best trips ever. I cant wait for the training tomorrow.
